they say you fall in love

but falling makes me think of

descending,

regressing

isn’t love a climb,

with slips and stumbles

but always reaching

higher?

they say hope is fragile,

but fragility makes me think of

weakness,

cowardice

aren’t the hopeful the strongest,

in the face of darkness

always bravely believing in the

light?

they say to follow your heart

but the heart makes me think of

deceit,

manipulation

shouldn’t you follow the Truth,

sometimes stiffling and painful

but always ultimately setting you

free?
